Im Wald nordöstlich des Darmstädter Ortsteils Kranichstein liegen in Bildmitte und südwestlich davon Spuren von 'Celtic Fields' vom Typ Sachsenhausen in schwacher bis mäßiger Ausprägung. In Bildmitte und nördlich davon liegen einige Grabhügel. Eine zweite kleine Gruppe liegt südöstlich der Bildmitte, dazu gibt es einzelne Hügel. Die Spuren am südlichen Bildrand, wo eine von Altwegefächern begleitete Straße ein großes Dreieck abtrennen, beleuchten die Schwierigkeiten, die sich durch moderne forstliche Eingriffe ergeben. Während dort die nordsüdlich ausgerichteten Spuren nördlich der Straße alt zu sein scheinen, gehen ähnliche, aber schärfer ausgeprägte Spuren im "Dreieck" auf die Anlage moderner Stubbenwälle nach Kahlschlägen zurück.
